Wedding in Copenhagen and a long weekend ahead

nyhavn Wedding in Copenhagen and a long weekend aheadAnne and I are off to a wedding in Copenhagen this weekend. Two of our best friends are getting married. Rado and Marie got to know each other during our university time and it is so great that they are now getting married.
And it will also be great to be in back in our old home town Copenhagen. I am looking forward to have a stroll in the city (without Annes most certain regular shopping distractions of course!) and then being able to just walk five minutes from the city centre and sit and relax at the beautiful seaside harbor (See picture). It really beautiful in Copenhagen and we still love to go back to revisit.

This week was a very productive week again and had a great finish with three good meetings today across various parts of London.

We will be back on Monday evening so I am finishing of the week one day early and start it one week late. Now that’s what I call a long weekend.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Fabian

Summer has finally arrived in the UK

I guess we have all been waiting for this for quite a while now but the summer has finally arrived in the UK as well.
This past week has been really nice in terms of weather and has been very busy when it comes to work.
I flew to Germany on Monday and came back to London on Wednesday evening. The German meeting was very productive and may lead to more later in the year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Thursday was mostly spent on the phone or Skype respectively. I think I had something like 10 conference calls. I stopped counting at some point.
These where the highlights:

  • Three articles by TSWN members where put online
  • I published the interview with Novo Nordisk
  • Registered the domain Stakeholder.me

I will be in London all of the upcoming week and Anne and I are off to Copenhagen for a wedding on Friday.

All the best,
Fabian

A week to remember

This week has been an amazing week so far. Of course there is the weekend still to come.

These are the highlights of what happened this week:

  • The Sustainability Writers Network (TSWN) is taking shape and I was able to recruit 10 more great writers. I will write more about this network next week.
  • I have been to two great MeetUps here in London and connected to many great people.
  • Connected to Kevin Long the COO of JustMeans. Great guy.
  • Got another call with a request for a consulting pitch next week.
  • The SustainabilityForum.com got over 60 new members in only a week with the best ever week in terms of traffic.
  • My cooperation with AccountAbility21 kicked off.
  • Bought a new domain with great potential: SustainableChina.com.
  • Sold a domain after weeks of negotiation.
  • My new design for this blog was finished and went live.

All in all has this been a very productive week and thank you to everyone that I met or that visited my websites.
Next week I am off to Germany for three days and back in the UK on Wednesday evening. I am going to the Entrepreneur Meetup on Thursday morning and have important meetings on Tuesday and Friday. Keep the fingers crossed for another successful week next week everyone.

I will provide an update when I am back from Germany.

All the best,
Fabian

Germany and the free and empty office

I am just now sitting on my desk in Krefeld/ Germany. I am not really here very often but my business is based here because a good friend of mine offered me this desk, IT access and the business address free of charge. He is a very kind person and I owe it to him that I was able to establish PB Consulting GmbH in the first instance. Without him I would gotten nowhere.
Anyway I got a little sidetracked there! icon smile Germany and the free and empty office
I am in Germany (as said) the days of this week and fly back to London tomorrow late in the evening.
Today has been a very hectic day here. First I send 4 hours with my accountant, then had a lunch appointment and then discussed future business opportunities with this friend mentioned in the first paragraph.
Everyone has left the office for the day and I just turned on some music (James Blunt – 1973) to finally sit down and write some blog posts and catch up on my emails. This is the first, one on the SustainabilityBlog.org will follow.

Busy, busy, busy but lovin it!

I have not been writing for over a week now because I have been extremely busy to say the least. You can decide whether this is good or bad I guess. icon wink Busy, busy, busy but lovin it!
This was my schedule in the last week and a half:
Fly back from Germany, stay one day, fly to Faro in Portugal, get a car to go to Sevilla in Spain, stay in Sevilla for 2 nights, get back to Faro and then fly back to London. And then back in London I am currently trying to drum up business for my consulting services, expand the CorporateResponsibility.Net website and network, network, network! 
Sounds like stress (which it is) but I LOVE IT!
I have some new development to talk about as well.
On the SustainabilityForum.com side have I now been able to use a new front page instead of a holding page. I used the WordPress Content Management System and simply copied the style and colour from the forum to create a somewhat look-alike of the vbulletin software in order to have it blend in when people visit the front page and then the forum subsequently.
Take a look if you like: SustainabilityForum.com
I also now have the possibility to provide a space for partners of the SustainabilityForum.com. This has always been missing.
I also have exciting news around my CorporateResponsibility.Net website. I managed to kick-start an interview series with leader in the CSR field. This means that I will conduct interviews with a number of organisations and individuals around a specific CSR topic specific to that company. The interviews series will start in the next few weeks and hopefully be very useful to everyone interested in CSR.

This week seems to go quite good so far. I am off to have a lunch meeting with a company today and my wife and I have an interesting meeting tomorrow evening. We will see how these two meetings will go.

Until then all the best,
Fabian

New pictures uploaded and first meeting of members today

I have uploaded two new pictures today. Thy are showing my lovely wife and myself. I just realized yesterday that I did not really have any pictures of myself on my blog. Silly me! 

Here they are:

[album=4,extend]

I am also going to go into London today to do two things.

Look at a MacBook. Yes, I am tempted to switch from a normal laptop to a MacBook. Just take a look. Isn’t it beautiful? MacBook. I will go into the Apple Shop and be really sceptic and see whether I still can not resist buying one. I won’t buy one today but maybe in a few months time. Who knows.
I will be staying in London for the evening because we have our first ever members meeting of people that are living in the London area and are registered on the SustainabilityForum.com. We will see how many people will turn up. icon smile New pictures uploaded and first meeting of members today

That’s all for now but I will keep you posted.

All the best,
Fabian

London today! Great meeting with one potential partner for SustainabilityForum.com

Just came back from London today and a meeting with a potential partner for the SustainabilityForum.com. Very interesting organisation and hopefully we can build a successful a partnership that is beneficial for both sides.
The forum has been so far after little more then 15 months grown into one of the largest online forums on environmental and corporate social responsibility (CSR). We have on average 400-500 people visiting the forum every day. A year ago I never thought to reach these numbers by now!
