How To Put A Domain Name Up For Sale – Quick And Easy

sale How To Put A Domain Name Up For Sale – Quick And EasyLets say you own a domain name that you would like to sell. How do you do that? This is the purpose of this post. This post is part of my domain name series if you are interested in more domain name information. Domain name series.

Selling a domain name is really easy if you know how. All you need is a computer, internet access and idealy a PayPal account.
But lets start from the beginning. The first step should be to open up a PayPal account in order to be able to send and receive money from buyers. PayPal is the most accepted payment service on the net and in my opinion the best as well. Being able to send and receive funds through PayPal will give you more flexibility in your domain name sale and also peace of mind when it comes to fraud and other possible problems.
Once you have done that you are all set up to start promoting your domains you wish to sell.

The next step is to register with websites that provide a platform for you to promote your domain names to potential buyers.

These are the two largest on the web:

Each of these domain aftermarkets as they are called has its strengths and weaknesses but Sedo is by far the most successful and I would highly recommend Sedo to start with.

The benefits of these domain name aftermarkets is that they give you total control over the whole process of putting your domain name on sale as well as dealing with the complete sales process once you have found a buyer.
Another benefit with these domain name aftermarkets is that you can do everything in terms of money transfer with your recently opened PayPal account. You can receive the money from the sale via a wire transfer to your local bank. All of these domain name aftermarkets are large enough to that.

And thats it already. Now you just need to sit back and relax and see whether there are any offers coming. Time is on your side and there is no need to take more action at this point.

Here are some other resources for the selling of domains:

The Week In Review: New Clients and Popular Blog Posts

Well here we are again. Saturday and it is time form my weekly catch-up of the events in my business, etc.

I was very happy to stay the whole week in London in order to be able to catch-up on my emails and more after a week’s holiday in Crete. It is just amazing how much you can get behind if you are only out of contention (and emails) for a week. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the break and it was really needed in order to get the head free and switch to the next gear for the rest of the year. But I guess that is why the holiday season is there as nothing happens then and you can have peace of mind that you are not missing much. If you do holidays while everyone is working 100% you are bound to loose contention on many topics and developments.
Anyway. I am happy to report that I have finally concluded the talks with two “potential” clients to become clients. This means that I am pretty much booked out in terms of monthly consulting days for the next 6 months. This is great news and it will enable me to make for sophisticated plans for 2009.
The redevelopment of the forum is also going according to plan. I think we will have something to report and show before we all go on our Christmas holidays. Keep your fingers crossed.
I published three hopefully interesting posts on my blog this week.
Here are the titles including links:

I will be in Germany for most of the upcoming week at client meetings and then in Krefeld to catch-up with lawyers, advisors and some good friends of course.

All the best,
Fabian

Viva La Vida

life Viva La VidaA great song from Coldplay (my favourite song at the moment) and the perfect sentence to describe my life at the moment. I am living life to the fullest and loving every moment of it.
How come? Well this week has really been a week where a lot of lose ends have started to come together, finally.

Loose End No 1: I have made the decision to develop the SustainabilityForum.com on my own and I believe I also found the right developer for the job. This is like a dream come true for me and I am pleased that I decided to not give up ownership that early in the developing stages although I was tempted.
No 2: I am now starting to build key relationships with some of the best conference and event organisers in the Sustainability field. We have arranged to work together on the SustainabilityForum.com. More information will follow in due course.
No 3: My negotiations with a German business partner ended in us finding common ground to work together. I am really looking forward working with him in the future. This will be a key relationship for the future of my business and our family.
No 4: This is a secret but this will again change in lot in our life if it goes according to plan. :-)

So all in all has it been a pretty busy week with a lot of results. I am anticipating that next week will not be as big as this one but that does not really matter. I now need to work hard to build on the developments and justify the trust placed in me.

All the best,
Fabian

London, Germany and the SustainabilityForum.com

This past week has been another very busy and interesting one. I started out thinking I would be able to focus on the London network this week but on Tuesday I got a call to ask whether I would able to spend 2 days with a client in Germany. So I jetted off to Germany in the early hours of Thursday and arrived back in the UK late Friday evening.
Yesterday (Saturday) was great to relax and catch up on the past 2 days of emails and office work.
The next week will be spent here in London and I have a kick off meeting with my programmer to discuss the next steps for the SustainabilityForum.com. Many of weeks of back and forth on the future of the forum are now over and you can image how happy I am to finally get this show started. 
I will also have more new posts on Social Media, Networking, Sustainability, CSR and more this week. My plan is to; if I have the time, have new posts every day during the week from now on. We will see how this will be manageable.
So on to the next week.

All the best,
Fabian

Very Good Meeting And Another Nice Wedding

Our wedding yesterday was really fun but a little to long in my opinion. We came back very late or may I say early. But it was great to see a lot of our friends and be part of a classic German wedding for a change. Photos will follow once I am back in the UK on Tuesday.

The meeting on Thursday went really well. We had a good open and frank discussion of ways to work together. Something I expected and I wasn’t disappointed. I will reflect a little about the outcomes of this meeting and see where this leads me.

I will now get back to enjoy the weekend (although I love writing blog entries as you can see) but stay tuned for more updates. Next week will have another social media post as well as a CSR related entry.

Regards,
Fabian
