Hi Fabian, as you know, responsible gaming has been part of our services for a while. The timing of your article is perfect as we are in the process of switching our focus even more in this direction. Gaming and CSR are a very good fit.

Thanks for the comment and your kind words Julien. I have raised this topic with some players and they told me that the important aspect I needed to understand is that most players, especially experienced onces, do not play all the time but mostly when they are planning a "raid" with their clan. It is an organised playing time, rather then endless playing. Being in a clan is very important and seems to make the game so much more worthwhile. I found that very interesting. But I also feel that the addiction aspect will always be a very hot topic when we talk about gaming. Hope this clarifies it Julien.

This is a great article Fabian, congrats!
As far as i know, MMORPG players can be prone to addiction problems. Is this something that you raised in your discussions? I know the casinos and the lottery of my country have implemented "responsible gaming" measures and do a lot of prevention. Do the people you talked to have something similar in mind?

[...] When successfully communicating and promoting a certain product or cause, I learnt over the years that you need to keep it simple. Not overly simple but simple enough to let your audience know what you want to tell at a moments notice and with a tone they understand. This simplicity but also directness is not something you can learn quickly but only by continuous, honest and substantiated stakeholder engagement. This is the link to a stakeholder engagement series I wrote several months ago: A structured stakeholder engagement approach. [...]

True. But my concern is that Facebook will become something like a "big brother" as it gets to big and powerful. Privacy is one of a lot more aspects.

for sure facebook will add value to his company by making an IPO last but not least it is up to the user willingness to not disclose the information/data that the user have to facebook. Since this platform look for more financial return by using social "assets".
