I try to swim fast in an ocean of information, but sometimes i don't do it fast enough, i'm afraid. To have a unique platform for all the information is my dream.

Thanks for the comment Chris. I agree with you. It is a very tough question to solve if we can solve this at all. Money will always be the number one factor until we change our whole way of living and what society values as important I guess. Maybe this whole Star Trek idea of “no currency” isn't such a bad idea after all.

If one would expect most respondees to say "I put ethics above price" then it's very worrying that 30% put price above ethics.

Money, we have been taught, is the panacea, the great healer. Where the money goes is right, because if people didn't want it they wouldn't put their money there.

However, we've also been taught that the more money you have the better you are, socially and ethically. So people get greedy and buy something cheaper becuae it makes them "better", even if they recognise that means damning someone who is worse off financially. We all want to be better ... right?

I honestly don't know how we unravel this but I suspect it will take more than a eneration to get people to instinctively and naturally think about more than just the price of what they buy in the supermarket.

I agree. But this situation can't go on for ever. Let me quote Jonathon Porritt, director and founder of 'Forum for the Future' in Lisbon a few weeks ago:'…you can't sort out the environment unless you sort out the economy, global ethics and the basis on which the human species needs to move forward'.
